Pure as Snow

As I was sitting there looking through the window and watching the snow change the town’s scape thoroughly the word purification came to mind.

Do we need this amount of snow to purify our dusty city? Can this purification make our minds clearer and change thought patterns of the country? Will it bring so much needed cleansing?

If so,  let it snow…..

Taken with my phone this morning from my office window.

The attached music is titled Pure as Snow.

It’s just starting here, Paula. I was all set to sing along to “let it snow” but this is much more calming.

While looking at the snowy landscape…..I’m abandoning to your marvellous music!
    Bye,Paula

It’s relaxing to sit and watch the snow fall
I also think it can be inspiring too… :-)
Some weather makes us to unconsciously slow down
so our brains can catch up with our bodies ….. ‘hahaha’

    Very well captured… :-)

  4. What’s all that white stuff? This transplanted East Coaster sometimes misses a nice purification … until it comes times to shovel it all!
Paula, who is performing that wonderful music (maybe the bigger question should be: where do you come up with all this wonderful music)? That’s right up my alley!

The old saying, “Pure as the driven snow’ comes to mind as I listen to your beautiful music, sitting by the pool in the heat of Belize. :)

  6. Phil Lanoue says:

I think the snow does indeed serve a purification purpose Paula.
But I wouldn’t know since it’s currently 24C here. For mid January, I’l take it. :-)

  7. Amy says:

Beautiful snow shot, Paula! Love the music. Hope the cold winter will go away soon….

  8. Beautiful words indeed, I think that purification can only start when each individual has the courage to stand before a mirror and look into hidden places and sincerely ask themselves…”In my thoughts, words and actions, have I had the courage to strive for humility, so that the doorway of love can be opened into my heart……”
    God bless

All that beautiful snow!!! It was in the 50′s here yesterday and the snow was melting like crazy. Not happy about that at all! :-D I’m glad someone is getting snow.

  10. rebekah says:

All our lovely snow is melting! My first thought, when I started to read, was also «pure as the driven snow», and I see now that I was not alone. When the snow falls here, it certainly makes the city look spiffy, but that’s about all — it doesn’t change anything, except that it gets quieter and the traffic moves slower.

  11. Snow is nice. It feels like it cleans up everything (before it turns into brown mush..)

    • Paula says:

We got snow – tons of it … then we got mush, now we are getting fresh snow and ice, that will soon turn into black ice – ouch … with our winter service it is a disaster. We had bombers’ attacks in a part of the town that caused some serious panick among the citizens and today some prankers made a huge snow bomb at the site of explosions instead of a snowman ;)

  12. Bashar A. says:

    Made me home sick!

  13. Love this image, and the addition of the audio made it extra special. I love snow actually…

  14. Looks cooooooooooold………..! Sure it is very beautiful but i am more of a summer person…. (sorry snow)

  15. BTW: I liked the music.

  16. Love the music……sounds like a laid back Mogwai

  17. Madhu says:

My….that is a lot of snow!
And how long does it take you to find the perfect music track? :-)

    • Paula says:

Sometimes it takes hours of listening and searching in my music library, at times only half an hour, and sometimes as I take a picture I already have music in my mind :)

  18. peterl12002 says:

Wow chum, that is a lot of snow for your mayor to eat, I hope he has an appetite :)
