Looking for meanings in words, images and sounds
The heights charm us, but the steps do not; with the mountain in our view we love to walk the plains.
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Beautiful shot as always Paula! 🙂
Thank you Ioanna 🙂 Treat yourself to some music while you are here 😉
And i am here again! there is a mention of you here => http://goo.gl/YRFG8 🙂 -beware this is not an award- 😛
Particularly lovely Paula! Love the contrasts…..and the music of course 🙂
Aww… I found the mountains in this version so velvety that I had to post it. I am particularly happy that you liked Olfield…. Warm greetings to you my dear.
Mike Oldfield worth listening to indeed… 😉
– and your black ‘nd white shot worth looking at too… 😉
😀 I am glad the drake did not waste any of his free miles 😉
The Queen of the Black’nd White Mountains never be waste of time… ‘hahaha’
Ask every drake you meet, they tell same story, even the white ones… 😉 😉
😀 😀 😀 and if the “Queen” goes colourful again? What will all the drakes say?
Probably the drake would say something, he talks a lot… ‘hahaha’
😀 😀 I hope so too 🙂
Crna patke imaju velika usta – hope it’s translate correct… ‘hahaha’
😀 😀 😀 THANK YOU for this Drake.. I needed a laugh today at work (the bastards did not let me install Lightroom on my work pc), but your translation effort saved my day :D. Your Croatian is perfect!
Pretty combination! 🙂
🙂 The combo of pic and music?, the pic and the quote?, the music and the quote? or shades in the photo… or the whole thing? 😀 Thank you Marion 🙂
Your B&W series turning out to be great stuff…
The contrast in the colors stands out beautifully. Hope to see some more B&W in the series.
Many thanks Hitesh. I am happy with your attention and comment 🙂 Bless you.
My pleasure… always good to be on your blog 🙂
Another gorgeous shot! Wonderful series, Paula!
You really are impressing the heck out of me with these B&W images. I’m going to be asking you for tips pretty soon. 😀
That’s going to be so cool :D. Thank you Jeffo 🙂
This is gorgeous and absolutely perfect for this challenge! A+!
🙂 Thank you Zeebra – this photo was not part of any challenge but I decided to make a black and white week. I am so glad you liked it.
wow! well it belongs in the black and white challenge for sure! it’s incredible – stunning! z
You are too kind 🙂 Thank you dear.
Very nice contrasts between the black & white here. Good idea to make this B/W, the snow and the clouds makes the mountain stand out.
🙂 Much appreciated CG 🙂
It looks like Iceland… 🙂
Cool, this will save me a trip. I hear it is awfully cold and windy over there. Tonight our football team is playing there with Iceland. Poor chaps are stalactites 😉
They play with shorts and vests Canada Goose ? 😮 This country is absolutly magnificent but, indeed, it’s cold, windy and wild… Dangerous volcanos and warm water under the ground… And there aren’t a lot of inhabitants so if you’re lost and if you have nothing to drink or eat… Or to protect your body to the cold… You become a SIGA 😆
Weird tastes 😀
Hi there! I love your pictures. I am a filmmaker here in NYC and re-doing my website. I am looking for a beautiful B&W picture to use as the landing page of the new website. We are a very small production company here in NY. Would you be willing to let us use one of your pictures for our website? We would be happy to credit you and link to your blog etc? Please do let me know. Nice to meet you!
Hello, What of my photos did you have in mind? I am willing to let you use one of my pictures under condition that credit and the link to my blog is provided. You can also contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and if necessary I can provide you with a larger format if you wish so. Regards, Paula
The contrast between the mountain and the snow looks beautiful with the cloud shrouded top! The contrast is done so nicely because the sides of the mountain seem velvety black rather than just flat dark. Very nice! We are a little challenged here in Florida for mountain shots…Big Sigh!!
