Great light, good sky!
Yes, the light was really great. Thank you for your comment and visit 🙂
Great work of art, perfectly captured.
What a great backdrop you got here, Paula. That gives an aura to this sculpture…
A chain of work of arts 🙂

Lovely piece and capture!
Fabulous aspect Paula! The sunset clouds add an extra touch of exotic!
Yes, it is a very exotic sculpture :D. I was so thankful to see a trace of sunshine in the sky that day. Thank you for your visit and a nice comment, Patti 🙂
Impressionante opera e superba fotografia!
(….to say nothing of the music)
🙂 Sei gentile carissima Anna. Baci
Perfect, as always!!
wow … this photo is trippy on many levels! that background is intense! but the light on the sculpture is vivid. may i ask what time of day this shot was taken, paula?
At what was supposed to be pre-sunset :D. London weather is trippy too, I had to capture that 😉
ah … i was thinking dusk, just before sunset. well, you certainly captured a great sense of drama. the lighting is perfect.
That’s what I said, just before sunset :). Thank you kindly Stephen 🙂
A beautiful piece of art and a wonderful capture of it. Perfect for the challenge.
Thank you so much Meghan 🙂
Thank you very much Meghan. I appreciate your visit and a nice comment 🙂
that dramatic sky really sets it off
Can’t argue with that 😀 Thank you Jo 🙂
Oh yes, Paula. You’re rendition is far more exciting to see than the other shots I’ve seen of this sculpture, including Wikipedia’s:
🙂 Thank you kindly, Allan. Of all the sculptures in Albert Memorial this one caught the best light while I was passing – it was a moment not to be missed 😉
The sky behind the statue really gives the image an air of majesty
This music is definitely a work of art. I have been playing it over and over again.
..and so is your gravatar pic 🙂
This photo of this piece of work is also a piece of art Paula 🙂
Much obliged 🙂
Such an interesting shot on many levels, Paula! Love those moody clouds 🙂
I seem to know the voice but can’t put a name to it? Like the sound very much.
Thank you very much Jo 🙂 I like this one too. The singer is Sinead O’Connor. I love this song – it is from the film “Young Victoria” 😉
Knew I knew the voice! So irritating when you can’t remember (and I’ve got football on the TV in competition! 😦 ) I know- I could go elsewhere but I’m being ‘companionable’, or what passes for!
😆 you made me laugh Jo. I’ve just finishing watching “Young Victoria” – I miss England already. Hubby suggested Northumberland for our future visit to your island. 🙂 (though I don’t know when it will happen)
If I’m about, whenever it happens, I’ll come up and meet you 🙂
🙂 that would be lovely 🙂
Amazing photo Paula. You’ve done a great job with the shooting and the post-processing. You were also lucky with the weather and light, it really creates a dramatic effect. Fantastic!
Tusen takk CG 🙂 I have a sexy b&w statue for tomorrow 😀 (at least I think it is sexy)
Perfect photograph of an interesting and amazing work of art.
I’m not sure which is the more impressive work of art, the sculpture itself or your photograph of it. The lighting on the statue is perfect, and the sky in the background is amazing.
Awww, thank you very much Jeff. They were easy to shoot – they weren’t going anywhere…. 🙂
I think you and I both know it takes more than an immovable object to make a good photo. Knowing when and how to photograph it is the mark of an artist. 😉
😀 THANK YOU 🙂
This is such an amazing shot Paula. A work of art indeed hon. Gorgeous! 😀 ♥ Big Hugs ♥
Magnificent shot – the dramatic sky really adds to the statue.
Much obliged Draco 🙂 One of the very few photos from England I am happy with 🙂
Incredible backdrop, beautiful colour – this is a beautiful photo Paula
I just love the sky in this photo, how beautiful.
I agree that the sky is wonderful (as is the sculpture.)
🙂 thank you for your nice visit Janet
Stunning shot, Paula. The background couldn’t have been better.
🙂 Much appreciated Uday. I hope your day wasn’t too hard.
Spectaculaire !!! 🙂
🙂 Merci beaucoup Julie

That really is something. Works incredibly well.
The angle and the lighting behind the statue are, dare I say, Bibically magnificent.
