I know what you mean, but don’t count on me to pull you out of that canal 😀 😉
ha! ok – but we could ride together as the gondolier tells us stories from the canal – (or not) ha!
No, no, no, it’s not Venice, no gondoliers here 😀
oh sorry – here is this wonderful place ((I should not have assumed))
Why wouldn’t you. You are on another continent and this canal is not very well know 😀
Xxoo u rock Amiga
😆 you always make me smile. Thank you 🙂
Very nice frame of the canal and homes and I do love the colors!
Glad you like it, Biker Chick. Thank you.
Love it, Paula! Where is this?
Bologna, Italy. Very happy you like it, Sue.
Very well captured!
Cheers mate 🙂 I used bracketed images.
OK, and nicely done….I now want to go to Bologna!
Perfect… just perfect for the theme !!!
I just loved this image, Paula…
Window to a fantasy world….
The rich orange hue of the wall and the plants and flowers on the other side of the frame makes it magical 🙂
I kept the music playing and glued to my screen…
Thank you so much for sharing 🙂

I’ll cherish this comment. Thank you, Sreejith. It’s a world quite different from yours and I imagine even more appealing than to me. Good night
Simply love it.. Cheers from Ireland, Swav @paintingsbyswav
Thank you, Swav 🙂
It feels like great adventure.. 🙂
One of the things I love about you- you have a whole Arsenale of untapped photos of wonderful places. This is such a lovely one. Wishing you a happy weekend, Paula. 🙂 🙂
…and may I never run out of them 😀 Thank you so much, Jo. Enjoy the weekend!
Exactly! 🙂 🙂
What a stunning photo Paula! The colors, the setting, the setting- were you inside a house looking out the window? There is something about the view from the window and the water below and the flowers cascading off that balcony that screams hope, come, welcome. I also love the music- so uplifting and perky! Hope to get to Thursday’s Special over the weekend- have been busy too busy today to sit and focus on it.
Hi Lisa, I was lucky to find that little alley with a window overlooking a canal in Bologna. And Lucio Dalla’s song I only posted cause he is from Bologna, but now I see it works very well with the image. Thank you so very much for thinking of me. You have time till Tuesday even. Pick a word challenge will not be in a poll cause of so many theme choices. Have a great weekend my dear!
Wow, excellent… 🙂
Fantastic image, Paula. So perfect for the challenge. 🙂 Have a great weekend. xx
🙂 Very happy you like it, Sylvia. My world would be very different if it weren’t for Italy. That’s the country that always inspires. xx
It’s a beautiful country. I’m so sad about the devastating earthquake.
I know. Me too. I’m afraid we still don’t know the number of victims.
The rescue teams have a tough and harrowing task.
What a fascinating view!
Perfect frame. – and I love the colors
I am imagining the joy of opening this window to reveal this magical scene. Gorgeous framing Paula.
Yes, the shot screams “joy”. Thank you very much, Sue.
What a marvelous and colorful view, Paula! You displayed/framed it perfectly.
Many thanks, Janet 🙂
Mitica questa finestra…
Ho anch’io questo scatto
E molte altre come le mie 😀
Nice town. 😀
Well, you should know. 😀
What a fascinating place Paula, I had to google it of course! Were you inside a house or is it a balcony you took the shot from? I always wonder if places like that have wet cellars and how the buildings survive. I love the rich colours as well.
Dear Gilly, I am so glad you like it. This one was taken from a street, Imagine that. Whoever got the idea of putting a window there was a genius 🙂 Thank you!
Great choice to illustrate the theme, Paula.
Much appreciated, Lynne!
Doesn’t get more framed than that! Wonderful color, too.
Thanks M’am 🙂
Love the way this is framed.
Me too 🙂 Thanks, Hilary!
