Darkness and light

In celebration of winter solstice which is today,  Thursday, December 21,  for anyone living north of the equator,  I decided to go with “Darkness and Light” as the weekly theme of this Thursday’s Special.

  1. A great theme Paula, and what a fantastic image. The patterns in the water and the sloping land all lead us to that gorgeous light.
And wonderful music to go with it – perfect title and perfect melody. Thank you for such a relaxing post on a hectic day. Happy solstice Paula

    • I captured this around this time last year. This year (the part after the holiday) has been so hectic and the work promises hell in the next year. Debbie, please forgive me for not finding time to check out blogs.

  4. A beautiful photo and lovely music, Paula. It’s so true there is opposition in all things. You can’t know the good, without experiencing the bad; health without sickness; happiness without sadness, etc. Wishing you a joyous Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

  16. A perfect photo for the winter solstice. My favourite sunset occurred a few days earlier, but will remain in my heart for some time to come. The winter sunsets are truly the best part of this time of year. Stay positive Paula throughout 2018.

  21. I like the serenity of your sunset image Paula. Once again, you have selected an inspiring topic for Thursday’s Special, so I have submitted my contribution from Stonehenge. Season’s greetings to all.
