Love this shot! I had two swans and a goose off our dock this winter. They stayed all day and allowed me to walk out and sit about 20 feet away. I probably have 300 shots of them. They are beautiful creatures.
BTW, I like your comment on comments. I feel the same way, either say something and interact or go away. How do I get rid of the like button. I told someone yesterday that I was getting rid of it.
The softness of the swan’s plumage against the harshness of the almost grey waters – the fluidity of liquid against the solidity of the creature cutting its way through: both hard and soft, depending on what we bring to the metaphorical table. Thank you for the challenge 🙂
Greetings I am so delighted I found your website, I really found you by mistake,
while I was researching on Askjeeve for something else, Regardless I am here
now and would just like to say cheers for a incredible post and a all round entertaining blog
(I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to
read it all at the moment but I have bookmarked it and also added
in your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read a lot more,
Please do keep up the fantastic job.

What a splendid photo. Such detail of bird feathers and of water; a wonderful limited palette; and then the contrasting red of the bird’s beak.
