Here comes another month with a new set of words to choose from. I hope you like the selection and that you will find at least one word to work on. Here it goes:
Never heard patulous! Thank you for a new word, as well as a lovely collection of images. What beautiful markings the donkey has, and you give a lovely glimpse into the heart of the cyclamen The music serves serene well. One day I’ll rise to this challenge! Do you begin with photos or words?
Just too beautiful, Paula. Especially ”Serene”. This looks like a load of fun …. hang fire. In the words of a certain Mr Schwarzenegger: ”I’ll be back!”
Just fabulous, Paula! Your ‘minibreak’ did you no harm 🙂 🙂 Hard to pick a favourite. We have vibrant cyclamen in our garden and I love the clarity of that shot (set against stone chippings?) The donkey reminds me of a sad beast I saw not too long ago, in Spain, and the pure joy of the bride is a wonderful, infectious capture. And La Serenissima- who wouldn’t want to be that serenely beautiful?
Thank you very much, Jo. None of these are from my mini break. I made a commitment recently to look for happy faces in my town. It is much needed with everything bad going on.
I agree with Drake – every composition has its story. A fine gallery, Paula. And I like the sound of your recent search for happy faces in your town – a powerful antidote to those intent on spreading misery. A big cheer to you 🙂
Paula I love these all, but especially the last. The colors of the buildings, the view in the distance, the water- all of it- just beautiful. Hope to make some choices of my own tomorrow!
She was candidly posing for a real wedding photographer, and I was out there taking shots of my town :D. I love her expression too. It inspired me to seriously consider humans as photographic subjects.
A beautiful serene photo Paula. Venice?

In most cases I begin with words. An exception here was the bridal shot :D. I feel so smug now that I passed a “new” word onto you. 😆

You have middles of opportunities to generate that smugness, my dear Paula!!

I’m so behind this week, I’m not sure how Saturday happened, though it’s given me the chance of a return visit to your very excellent photos – the last two especially – exuberance and serenity side by side. Wishing you a serene weekend, Paula.
